There is nothing you absolutely have to do.

Not really, in fact, in spite of how

doubt talks back to you.
The question is, what desires beckon your heart
make your feet itch to start somewhere...

anywhere, you deeply want?
 

It’s easy to get snagged by the trap of “should,”
that snares your hope for what you could

do or be when you set yourself free
from biases and narrow beliefs,
thinking you “can’t” because
of your responsibilities.
 

Please, don’t do that,

succumb to things that make you numb,
freezing the torch you have come to carry.
 

And, if you tarry in the waiting game,

finding good reasons to stay the same,

that is okay too.
Love doesn’t vote on what you do
or don’t get done.
 

Dear One, this is about being true
to the voice of your Heart that is fervent,
not as heavy pressure to save the world,
but to simply live authentically urgent.
